Making History

Today I made history - again. I used the words “snow” and “beautiful” in the same sentence.

I’m not a big fan of snow. But, when you have sparkling white snow on the trees with a crisp blue sky, it does equal another great day in Colorado.

I hope I remember this in the upcoming winter months.

There was some really pretty snow in Tekamah and Blair last week. I put the Burt County museum on my blog last Friday while we were up there.
We only get snow here every ten or twenty years.
Mrs. Jim and I got to visit and eat with Cliff too. All of our visit up there went very nicely.

EXCELLENT picture! If you forget how to use "beautiful" and "snow" in the same sentence in the future, we'll refer you back to this post.

It is a beautiful picture Ralph. I love how the sun makes the snow glisten.
We have it pretty cold here too, and still have a bit of snow on the ground. It definitely feels like winter even though it isn't official yet. If this is an indication of what we are in for I'll be storing up a good supply of coffee and tea and go into hibernation till next spring!
I hope you are having a blessed Christmas season.

This reminds me of the first entry on that narrative you put up last winter. It's 'beautiful' to begin with.

You didn't really use those words together in the same sentence, did you??? I am printing this post out and putting it on the bathroom mirror!!!!

It's raining here - don't know which is worse. At least the pickup truck does better in the rain.
I'm avoiding going out and hooking up the Christmas lights on the house. It is a string of the big old-fashioned bulbs straight across the house. It should be an easy project, since they've hung there for about three years.
You have to try really hard to be the biggest hillbilly on my street. I'm not even close.
Speaking of being a hillbilly, will their be a re-appearance of "the tree"?

I wish I could say the same thing about our day here in the Heart of America today. I blogged about it.

You put up a nice shot.

Ah, yes, snow IS beautiful! It will be in the mid70s today and they say snow Sunday! The weather here on the Shore is so dramatic sometimes... gotta keep the summer and winter closets ready at all times. So confusing, but, not boring! What is also beautiful to me is snow on the camellias!

Pretty picture. I've never been to Colorado but from all the photos I've seen, I can imagine it's pretty hard not to admire the scenery no matter what the season.

Snow is pretty, no doubt about that. I expect you'll get to see lots more of it before the winter is over. Learn to love it Ralph.

You won't be talking kindly about snow in the coming days and weeks. You will be cursing the snow like you did that pig that shat (past tense of sh-t) on your camera.
Snow is beautiful, but I'm not a fan of living in it.
Last year, we had only one snowfall. It was mild and melted away by midday.
I'm hoping this winter is a repeat of last winter.
Nice photo.

And it doesn't get any prettier than looking at it from indoors while sitting by the fireplace. Looking at it from behind a snow blower... well not so much! ~ jb///
