Comments

I like going to other blog sites, reading them, and leaving comments. I also really appreciate it when people visit my site and leave a comment. It’s amazing how many people visit but never leave a comment. When time permits, I also try to respond to the comments left on Homespun Headlines. It’s fun. But, a comment on yesterdays post about fonts caused me to pause. It reads:

I hate times new roman but I really don’t have enough time to fool with symbols. Your e-mail buddy needs to get a job! Love, A technology teacher

I am fairly certain I know this technology teacher. In fact, I am fairly certain I'm married to her. So, I started to replied, “Thanks honey. I love you too. We’ll talk about times new roman later”. Suddenly I had a chilling thought – what if it wasn’t my wife? I mean there are a lot of technology teachers out there.

NOTE TO SELF: In situations like this a simple ‘thanks’ will do.

Now, I know why Char always has her finger on the trigger. She's looking at you like, "Just give me a reason, Ralph.... please!"

Ralph, I've known that technology teacher a long time. I've know her longer than you have I guess. Don't make her mad. She'll go buy hotdogs for you.

Times New Roman seems to be pretty universal. I have used a couple of differnt ones from time to time... using a different one on my blog currently... but honestly don't give it much thought. As long as it is easy to read, why worry? You'll have to let us know if it was your wife!

Jamie - I am sure I have given her several reasons.
Rachel - Yes, yes I do.
Cheyenne - thanks for your visits.
Dan - you posted a great story.
Susie - yes it was her. I was pretty certain before I wrote it. Not a lot of people sign off on my site with the word Love. By the way, it is fun to banter in the comments section.
Just a Mom - no you can't.
Cliff - see the comment from Anonymous. She buys them - you eat them.
Anonymous - it wasn't me, it was Cliff.
Rhodent - yes, it was my wife. I agree as long as it is easy to us. By the way, as I am typing this I have a pot of Chicken Lemon soup going.

Hmm, interesting underlying comment, Ralph. Astute!
Literally speaking, Times Roman or Arial are the only two fonts universally acccepted by publishers, I think.

I have a feeling humor is involved here. I'm chuckling in all those unsual fonts I've used that many people can't read!

Hello Ralph,
I'm one of those people who's been reading and laughing...and not leaving a comment.
I visit you through via Jerry (we went to different high schools together) and through Cliff.
Thanks for the fun!
