Weekly Insight

I took two mornings off this week and spent eleven hours on my knees water proofing the deck. Later in the week, I spent five hours sitting through a boring meeting.

Insight: No matter what you do, some body part is going to get sore.

You had to mention waterproofing the deck, didn't you? That's what I need to do.

I concur and yield back the rest of my time to the chair.

Meetings? Again? Good Lord, Ralph. You've gotta find a better way to spend your time.

Give me your cell phone number. I'll call you during the next meeting with an "emergency".

I guess your deck is all ready for winter now and that wonderful white stuff that you love so to pile up on it! heehee

I think Jerry has the right idea!!

It
s true. Body aches happen. Even if I'm reading a lot I get a headache.
I just finished re-doing my front and back decks. Scrubbing, scraping, sanding, priming and two coats of bright white paint. I'm sure glad it's done and also that I don't have to do it every year!

Ain't that the truth? Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go do my exercises so my SI joint won't flair up again.

That is so true. I guess I'm getting old because I feel the effects of whatever chores I do. After washing mirrors and cabinets, you'd think I'd been lifting weights by the way my arms feel. When I mop the floors (most of our house is tile floors) I feel 100 years old the next day. I'm too young for these kinds of bodily reactions to plain, old work!! At this rate, I'll be bedridden by 50!!!!
