Daughter of Ralph

Daughter of Ralph has been leaving comments on my blog. That’s all right, I mean, “daughter of Ralph” does have a much friendlier ring than say . . . Son of Sam.

Cliff, can’t someone else want to hear about his wonderful daughter? Why do you assume that it was me?

A few things struck me as I read that. First, please notice each and every word is spelled correctly. That’s her mother’s genes coming through. Next, seems like her and Cliff are turning my comment section into their own little chat room. That’s okay - at least I’m getting comments. Then I always get a little startle when I realize she is about to graduate college. This IS her last year – right, daughter of Ralph?

Then the floodgates open. Top of the list is after just 26 more years of “easy monthly payments” she’ll be mine free and clear! But, it has been worth it. I mean as you study this picture you’ll notice she has mastered the culinary skills needed to make Macaroni and Cheese after just a few short years of college. And, unlike another well-known cook who has her own TV show, magazine and book, daughter of Ralph has done it without serving any jail time.

Well, better get off in case daughter of Ralph and Cliff want to chat.

Cliff - sorry my last message was deleted. Homespun Headlines must have tried to publish again.
(Okay, I wrote that but it still counts as a comment)

Rememeber Ralph,,, daughter of Ralph and ol Cliff go way back. Remmember, I tried to recruit her to play for a college in Nebraska. Okay, I'll admit it was also in hopes her parents would come for a visit more often.
Okay, I'll admit it was because I wanted her Mother to come for a visit more often.

Mac and Cheese?! Yummy!
I doubt that Martha Stewart lowers herself to meals in a box.
Your daughter want more blog attention.
You should dedicate one day a week to post in her honor.

Daughter of Ralph Day.

JD had a great idea! Daughter of Ralph Day. A day a week just for her! Sweet.

Won't she get married some day and then the husband will take over the payments?

Ralph,
That's a pretty limited menu. Maybe your daughter needs to take a summer course at the Morrow Community College in the outskirts of Tekamah, NE. There she can learn how to bake a cake.

But sadly, she'll have to pick up a course on making hash browns some place else. I hear the hash browns professor couldn't take the heat and had to get out of the kitchen.

I don't think Marta Stewart's dad would write such a nice blog about his daughter, he's too busy running Hell. Macaroni and cheese or (ghetto pasta) can take years to perfect. You must be proud.

Hey Ralph, I think it is a great idea to have a "Daughter of Ralph day," that way if you run out of material, "Daughter" can post for you! I bet you she can cook more than Mac and Cheese, college kids are resourceful!

Cliff, like I said yesterday I do have fans out there who request to hear more about me. You can't just assume its only me that want to read more blogs about myself. Look at those comments.

Dad, some of those people seem to have great ideas. "Daughter of Ralph Day" does have a nive ring to it. This blogging thing might turn out to be a pretty good idea.

For the record..I can cook more than mac and cheese. Last night my roommates and I had steak, pasta, and green beans for dinner. They put me in charge of warming the beans from the can.

Group cooking? Warming beans from a can? TALENTED!! Just think we spent a lot of money for daughter of Ralph to learn ALL of that!

Wife of Ralph - give the kid a break. Some of those can openers can be pretty complicated.
daughter of Ralph - What is wrong with this picture? We ate left overs for the past two days and you are eating steak. Tell me again how much money you need.

I just had a thought. A really good blog would be a running family argument that goes on for days.
Ralph, an argument is easy to start, just say to either your Wife or Daughter, "You're just like your Mother". That'll start one everytime.

Ralph,
I'd only be concerned if her college major is culinary arts...
Lots of kids are learning how to cook AFTER they are married these days.

Don't worry dad. I talked a roommate into buying some steaks and giving me one. I didn't buy them so you can feel free to send me money.
Maybe all the money you are paying for me to go to school is worth it. I learned to make friends with people who will buy steaks, and to talk them into giving me one after they cook it...then again, maybe my smarts are genitic because I am in the middle of class as I type this
