I'm in Trouble

I have many meetings in restaurants and coffee shops. Even thought I generally end up paying I am always happy to get out of the office.

Last week a meeting was scheduled at a small independently owned diner. I love those places they are generally a lot better than the national chains.

Reaching for the handle to the door, I knew I was in trouble when I saw the following:
All I’m going say is. . . .it’s pretty hard to screw up eggs, toast, and coffee.

Ralph, anyone can screw up eggs, even the "big" restaurants. Just don't cook them long enough and ew!

Wanna bet?
My husband has to have his eggs cooked hard and what do they do...break the yolks. Even after he tells them not to.

Why did I think you were too smart to go in a place with a sign like that on the door?
AH, well, you will know better next time.

You would think it'd be hard but I imagine some folks are very picky!

That's an incredible sign. It could have been worse. You could have been the guy's banker stopping in for an inspection. Now that would make you a little shaky.

Ugggh, I'm sending good thoughts to the people who had to post the sign. I bet you had a tired double-shift working cook making your eggs.

As others have said, I've screwed up all of the above on one occassion or another. Guess now is not the time to reveal my waitressing past.

We're looking forward to your cooking!
