Somebody Is Lying
I have often told Char I notice things a normal person does not. She counters with I also think things a normal person does not. Then she mumbles something about normal.
Tonight I proved my point. Walking through the garage telling Cliff a joke over the phone I noticed this.

Both these containers are the exact same height. Both claim to hold three pounds, four ounces. Yet, one gives me ’80 more cups than the 39 oz'. The other gives me ’90 more cups than 39 oz’.
I don’t think these people are drinking from the same cup.

I suppose if you use a smaller cup you will get 90 cups rather than 80?
Just think, those people went to college that figured that out.
Big business in action. You oughta order your coffee from our SIL's coffee roastery.

You get an old-fashioned 16 oz of coffee in a 1 lb bag. And it's good stuff, too.
Anyway, who counts how many cups they brew? I bet they can put any number there they want.
Well, you see, the one with "80 more cups" once had enough for "90 more cups." But one of the workers had a really rough night the night before, you see; his production was down. Then the boss came into the plant to do a surprise inspection! The worker quickly drank the 10 extra cups that should have been in the package. But the worker was essentially an honest person and couldn't in good conscience label it as containing "90 more cups" when he knew that, in fact, it only held "80 more cups." That being the case, he labeled it honestly, and was rewarded. Suddenly he was making his quota. The boss was pleased and he got a raise.
And you... got gypped.
*G*
Well, I used to have a nice, china "half a cup". (Wonder what ever happened to that?) Maybe someone had a cup like that. Or maybe someone had a cup-and-a-half.
Oh Ralph, isn't it obvious? The Government has taken over the coffee companies too:)
Hey, I'm going to the website Paul shared. Sounds good. We haven't bought an actual pound of coffee in many years.
Ralph, you should drink from the cup that gives you 90 more. Settling for only 80 more is bad consumer economics for normal people like you.
..
Strange! You should send them that picture and ask them what's up?
Speaking of "normal", consider this: "It is no measure of good health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society."
