A little boy wanted $100 badly and prayed for two weeks but nothing happened.
Then he decided to write God a letter requesting the $100. When the postal authorities received the letter addressed to God, USA, they decided to send it to President Bush.
The President was so impressed, touched, and amused that he instructed his secretary to send the little boy a $5.00 bill.
President Bush thought this would appear to be a lot of money to a little boy.
The little boy was delighted with the $5.00 and sat down to write a thank you note to God, which read:
Dear God,
Thank you very much for sending the money, however, I noticed that for some reason you had to send it through Washington D.C. and, as usual, those crooks kept 95% of it.

The rains you spoke of made it. Man we've got water sitting everywhere. Too bad this isn't the weekend you were coming here. We could sit on the deck and figure out something to do.

Your rains got here today. We've had from three (3) to eight (8) inches around. Next time, would you please keep a little more? Thanks.
But look at it this way, since it is a 'gift' it is tax free.
Ralph, if you [and a few morre] would spend a little more on Thanksgiving things besides food which you need anyway, the stores would stock more things.
Mrs. Jim had a terrible time finding her Thanksgiving decorations.
It was good though, because we can flip a switch and all the new Thanksgiving outside lighted turkeys turn into Christmas reindeer. Same with the pilgrim, he turns into Santa and the armadilla turn into elves. Great!
