Birds of a Feather

For the past couple of weeks I've been traveling a lot. I have been throughout Colorado and spent several days in Nebraska. These trips were for good reasons and at times fun, but it’s been tiring.

The above picture was taken at Lexington, Nebraska. While driving down I-80 out of nowhere hundreds, if not thousands, of geese were in the air. Suddenly they all landed at one pond. The number of geese didn’t surprise me. What amazed me was within a few hundred feet was another pond – without one single goose.

HEY EVERYONE!!! HE'S ALIVE!!!
Man am I glad you're back. Sorry I didn't keep track of where you were or I would have invested 4 hours of driving to go see you at Arbor Lodge.
This is one of the things I like about spring in Nebraska. All of the geese.
I liked the Mex-thai post but after reading it twenty times, it got old.

Well, Ralph we all thought the Mex-Thai food had killed you deader than a doornail. Or that you might have fallen off your bike somewhere and couldn't get up. Thank God you are still with us!!

Isn't it great to be missed? I figured you might be off working...or taking pictures of geese. Nice picture too!

That is so strange. I've been amazed many times watching bird formations and how they behave as a unit.
Too bad there wasn't one defiant goose in that other pond, enjoying all that space himself.

Welcome back! You were sorely missed.
We had that many blackbirds in our back yard this morning. I had Adi chase them all off.
I should have taken a picture first. L..rs don't stand a chance these days without using their camera.

Oh, were you gone? I hadn't noticed. *G* Welcome back! :0)

That's so odd about the geese, and kind of wonderful too. Beautiful photo!

That's an awesome photo. There are enormous flocks of gooses in our nearby Big City. A big problem all winter. And they won't let us cook 'em.

Awesome picture. That's awesome, too, that they all wanted a certain pond.... I guess the good Lord told them where to land.
