First Day of School

For years, I have taken pictures of everyone on their first day school. Including pictures of Char on her first day of school when she teaches and when she went back for her Masters. It’s kind of a habit.

Here is a picture of me on my first day of golf school. It was taken on Saturday. Class was to start on Thursday but because of all the lightening, it was cancelled. I guess until Thursday night I had never given a lot of thought about holding a piece of iron above my head in a lightening storm.

We worked the seven iron a lot and went over many things dealing with posture. This game might be a lot of fun if you learn how to play it. I would write more but have to go do homework.

You'll be a pro before you know it Ralph! Just be careful when there's any lightening around. Better safe than dead!

This is one school where homework is mostly enjoyable. Just one good shot on a round of golf makes you want to come back some more.

Is this a class lesson type school or one on one private lessons?

Well, Ralph. At least you LOOK like you know what you're doing.

Enjoy the lessons!

It's time to start hearing all of the old worn out golf jokes Ralph. You're supposed to hold a 2 iron up in a thunderstorm. Why? Because even God can't hit a 2 iron.

Ha! I can't believe you're taking golf lessons. You're such a patient man, I suppose it's really only logical that you should. . .

So I'm envisioning many broken clubs.

I took golf lessons once. . . the pro was SERIOUSLY hot and from Hawaii - it was lovely, but I didn't really learn a lot about golf. Better luck to you. :)

Anonymous - Yes, yes we will
1 plus twins - you will hear all about my graduation. From what everyone has told me it will be decades from now.
Mike - Thanks. It is a fun game.
Rachel - I'll be careful. But about that pro thing. . .
Jim - They are one on one private lesson. Nate, our son, and I are taking them together.
Jerry - Looks are deceiving
Cliff - The jokes are making there way to me. But since I just started I haven't heard all of them so they are pretty funny.
Dan - iron man is right. Those woods are causing me fits.
Christa - Yes, Christa, it is logical being the patient sort that I am. Lessons for me are going well - I signed up for a golf lesson not a dating service.
